Abstract Watercolor Art Journal Page

Hi everybody! I’m sharing an abstract watercolor painting process today in my art journal from Kunst und Papier. It’s an easy page and perfect when you are starting out with abstract and intuitive watercolor painting.

Playing with watercolors is one of the most relaxing things you can do. And great is, that it’s not very messy. I love watching the pigments move around, bleeding and feathering in the water. Its always a little surprise to see how the paint does its own thing. I’m using the MeiLiang watercolor palettes and some watercolors from QoR.

Before coming to the video I’d like to let you know that I am teaching in the free Mastering Mixed Media – Expo 2026 course this year! It’s hosted by Willowing.

It’s a completely free online event with amazing artist sharing their knowledge with you! It’s starting on May the 1st and you can join more than 35 FREE inspiring Mixed Media Art sessions with amazing and well known artists from all over the world!
You can enter giveaways to win a VIP ALL Access Pass and you will receive free gift from your teachers! It will be definitely lots of creative fun and you can join that from home for free!
