I’m sharing the making some grungy mixed media tags today over on my YouTube channel. I had so much fun to create them. To create textured I stamped the background with gesso, that creates a nice effect when you go on top with watercolors. I’m sharing a new process video to inspire you over on my YouTube channel today. I am creating a pair of ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) using the embossing resist technique together with Distress Inks for the background. I am decorating the cards with some stamped collage fodder. I’m making some autumn leaves using our „I Love Leaves“ and „Twiggy Leaves“ stamp sets together with water-soluble pencils. This creates a super lovely watercolor effect.

ATCs with our new Pencil Marks 6 stamp set. It’s now available in the shop together with a lot of other new clear stamp sets. I used embossingpowder and acrylic ink as a resist together with watercolors for the background. The coneflowers are stamped with watercolors two times to create a layered effect.

When I am painting with acrylics I use a simple piece of paper as my paint pallete. On this paper I am cleaning my brushes, stamps and tools. Further I make marks with the left over paint.
