The main thing why I am playing in my sketchbooks is fun I have doing this. I almost feel like a child when I can grab all kinds of colourful materials and put them onto the paper without being afraid what comes out. I truely never care about the result! In my opinion that’s the reason why I come to my sketchbook almost daily to play. I often don’t find the time to put things into a blog post, but you can find a lot of my work over on my Instagram page where I am only sharing my sketchbook drawings.

Today I want to share some abstract landscapes which I draw from Mapcrunch. Abstracting from photographs is quite hard compared to drawing directly on location, but of course it’s much easier to realies. And it is a lot of fun! I try to capture the depth of the landscape and the colours, but not going into too much details. I want it to be loose and keep space for interpretation.

Ich fühle mich wie ein Kind, wenn ich alle möglichen bunten Stifte, Kreiden, Farben zu Papier bringen kann! Mich erfüllt dass mich so viel Freude. Das ist der Hauptgrund warum ich fast täglich mit Mixed Media im Skizzenbuch male und zeichne. Das Ergebnis ist mir dabei völlig egal! Oft finde ich keine Zeit meine Bild in einen Blogpost zu packen, aber du kannst dir viele meiner Seiten auf meiner Instagram Seite ansehen, auf der ich ausschließlich meine Skizzenbuch-Zeichnungen teile.

Heute möchte ich zwei abstrakte Landschaften zeigen, die ich von Mapcrunch gezeichnet habe. Abstarkt von Fotos abzumalen ist wesentlich schwieriger als wenn man direkt vor Ort arbeitet, aber natürlich lässt sich das viel einfacher realisieren. Bei den abstrakten Landschaften versuche ich die Tiefe und Farben einzufangen ohne dabei zu viele Details zu schaffen. Ich möchte, dass es locker bleibt und Platz für Interpretationen gibt.
