Gelli Printing Session – Video Tutorial

Hi there, Susanne here with a gelli printing video using stamps to create patterns on the plate. This is a fun and easy way to get some beautiful prints. Today I am making some spring themed prints with my Pencil Marks 7 stamp set and some neutral ones with the grid stamp from Mixed Media Marks 1.
I am working in two sketchbooks from Kunst & Papier. I can’t wait to finish them and make a flip through and then start using the papers!

Halli hallo. Heute mache ich mal wieder einige Gelli Drucke! Dieses Mal verwende ich Stempel um Texturen auf der Gel Platte zu erzeugen. Ich drucke einige Frühlingspapiere mit der Blume aus dem Pencil Marks 7 Stempelset und mache neutralere Hintergründe mit dem Karo-Stempel aus unserem Mixed Media Marks 1 Set.
Ich bedrucke Seiten in Skizzenbüchern von Kunst & Papier. Ich freue mich schon, wenn die Bücher voll sind!

Hi there, Susanne here with an abstract collage, that is done in one of my small spiral bound sketchbooks, using one of my patchwork gelli prints, mark making and stamps. I used a leaf from our Collage Leaves 2 stamp set as my focal image. I love these little art journals as the pages are not very big. Abstract Watercolor Art Journal Page – Video Tutorial

Hi there, Susanne here with a beginner friendly art journaling tutorial testing an art journal from Action using watercolors directly on the paper. I’m creating an abstract layout and combine this with some stamps (Pencil Marks 1), mark making and collage. It’s a very easy and relaxing process! Perfect to create some art when there’s not much time.
I really enjoy this art journal, it’s pretty simialar to the Dylusions Journal from Ranger. Of course the paper in the Ranger Sketchbook is better. But this one works perfectly, especially with mixed media!

Halli hallo. Vorletztes Wochenende war ich mit den Kinder beim Action, eigentlich nur für ein paar Bilderrahmen und Kartenrohlinge. Dort bin ich über dieses Art Journal gestolpert und hab es mal mit genommen. Den ersten Test findest du hier: Heute teste ich das Art Journal mit Aquarellfarben. Ich arbeite direkt auf dem Papier ohne zusätzliche Grundierung! Die Art Journal Seite halte ich recht locker und abstrakt – also perfekt für Anfänger! Neben den Aquarellfarben verwende ich noch ein paar Stempel (Pencil Marks 1) und einige Schnipsel Collage-Papier.

Places near my Home – Sketchbook Practice

I love going out to draw and have a play in my sketchbook. It’s so much different compared to drawing from photos, but of course it takes a lot more effort. Often I sketch on location, then take photos and make more detailed spreads with more mediums at home. Today I am sharing some spread that are all inspired by places close to my home.

Ich gehe unheimlich gern raus zum Zeichnen im Skizzenbuch! Das ist ein enormer und positiver Unterschied zum Zeichnen von Fotoreferenzen, aber natürlich nicht unwesentlich aufwändiger. Oft sketche ich vor Ort und mache zusätzlich einige Fotos. Dann kann ich zu Hause an ein paar detailierteren Illustrationen mit mehr Medien arbeiten. Heute zeige ich einige Seiten, die alle von Plätzen rund um unser Haus entstanden sind.
