Abstract Watercolor Art Journaling – using Paul Rubens Metallic Paints

Today I am reviewing the Paul Rubens Metallic Watercolors and I will use them on my abstract watercolor painting today. [Advertising] The company Arrtx was so kind and asked me, if I’d be interested in trying out their 24 set of metallic watercolors. I really enjoyed working with the paints and will use them in future projects for sure. They have a wonderful shimmer and I really like the color selection. What I also liked was the packaging they came in. I also tried their masking tape and it gave me a nice clean border around the painting.

Mixed Media Art Journaling – Creating Layers

Today’s spread is an ocean themed page with many background layers in my Dina Wakley Media Journal. I love this journal to create spreads with stamps and stencils. I mainly used stamps from the Rubber Dance Textured Sea Creatures. These are awesome for nautical spreads.

Creating Layers in Mixed Media – Art Journal Video

I am playing in my handmade junk art journal today creating a bright page with many layers in mixed media. For my main images I am using my Textured Birds. I am using alcohol markers to color them in. I really love to play with markers! I just find it a bit difficult which paper to choose. I feel, that the perfect coloring paper is the only one that works good, but I’d love to use them in my sketchbook, too.

Abstract Watercolor Art Journaling – Video Tutorial

I love playing abstract and intuitive with watercolors. I often play in my journal 5-10 minutes during housework or cooking. This gives me always a bit of creative time during each day. Usually I don’t plan anything but the colours. I have started a sketchbook recently where I record my favourite color palettes. I also give you a quick information about my color swatch book, as I got so many requests.
