DIY – Art Journal – Handmade Book from an Envelope

Today I have an easy diy art journal for you. All you need is an envelope and some papers for the inside pages. I am using a Tyvek envelope, as it’s tear-proof and can stand water really well. I am shipping my stamps in them, so if you have one, don’t throw it away. For the inside pages I am using some of my gelli printed papers (printed onto 120gsm printer paper). Becaus of the envelope you also get a pocket in the inside of your back cover. That is perfect to store some ephemera.

I’m creating some messy mixed media tags today using Distress Inks & Distress Oxides for the background. I am adding some collage layers with gelli printed scraps and some stamping. I had a lot of fun making these.

Art Journal Page using Gelli Printed Papers

Today I am creating a spread in the Dina Wakley Media Journal using some of my gelli prints. I’m working with a circular layout this time. As always you will find a Video on my YouTube channel. As a focal point I am creating a big title and add some flowers with my Loose Florals stamps. I stamped those also to gelli prints.

I made an art journal page with a collage background using scraps from my gelli prints. This is a great way to get rid of them. You can combine and experiment with different colors and shapes which will create amazing variations of mixed media backgrounds.

Mixed Media Tags – Video Tutorial

In today’s video I am making mixed media tags using some of my gelli printed papers together with stamps. It’s a quick and easy way to get creative during a busy day. As the backgrounds are already done it doesn’t take much time to finish a tag. For the main images I used stamps from the Doodle Flowers stamp set.
