Loose Watercolor Flowers – Mixed Media Style

I love to paint loose and sketchy flowers with watercolors. I believe this is something everybody can do without having much knowledge about watercolor painting. For this spread I used waterproof ink to sketch the flower first and then I went in with my watercolors. I used Mijello Mission Gold watercolors as those are very transparent and I wanted to make sure not to cover up the ink lines. You can really easily fit this into a busy day. It’s a 5 min Sketch in the morning and 5min of coloring in the evening. Et voilá… it’s a pretty painting.

Mixed Media Tag – Video Tutorial

Hi there! Today I’m creating a mixed media tag to decorate one of the Burlap pages in the Dina Wakley Media Journal. I never have an idea what to do with these pages, so I thought this would be a good use for them. For the tag I am creating a collage background from a gelli printed deli paper. I am also using some of my free printables.
