Mixed Media Collage in my Art Journal – Video Tutorial

I’m creating a spread today in my watercolor sketchbook from Kunst und Papier. I had a bunch of papers that were already tared up and one colorful left-over-paint-paper and wanted to use them. I am glueing the papers down intuitively combine them with white paint and add different mark makings on top with stamps and crayons.

Mixed Media in my Skechbook – Duck Drawing

I’m sharing a process video today over on my YouTube channel (no voice over) on how I draw a duck in mixed media in my sketchbook. I am working in a Royal Talens Art Creations book. It’s my favourite as the price is not expensive, the paper is smooth and takes a lot of mediums (including watercolors) very well. I also like that the paper is in a cream color.

I joined the Birbfest Challenge in January

Today I have a bunch of birds from my sketchbook to share. I played along in the #birbfest23 challenge where you draw or paint or craft a bird each day. I drew the birds in my sketchbook. If you go to instagram and search the hashtag #birbfest23 you will find tons of amazing ways to draw birds! I really enjoyed this challenge, so I decided to also play in Feathruary, which is a simila challenge just with different promts! You will also find everything about it over on instagram.

Mixed Media Mini Collages with Fodder

I’m sharing two spreads today in my mini ring bound art journal from Gerstaecker using some gel prints and left over paint papers. I often do this when I want to get rid of my left over collage scraps or if I don’t have much time. I am glueing the papers down intuitively and add different mark makings on top with stamps and Neocolors. My main image is some collage fodder I made with my Sketchy Leaves stamp set. I’m creating a spread today in my watercolor book from Kunst & Papier using handmade collage papers together with our brand new stamps. I start with some loose watercoloring and some background stamping. Next I am glueing some collage papers down intuitively and add different mark makings on top with stamps and ink. My focal image is also one of the new images stamped in black.

Mixed Media Tags – Video Tutorials

I made some mixed media altered playing cards with a collage background. I inked some tissue with Brusho powders. After the tissue was dry I used it for this background. You will find a quick video on how I made this when you click more. The leaves are from my Sketchy Leaves stamp set, the mushrooms are from Textured Mushrooms.
