Mixed Media Tags with the new Stamps

I’d like to share some mixed media tags that I’ve made with a lot of my new stamp designs. I created a big masterpiece from watercolor paper and cut it into tags. In the next step I added texture and shapes with stamps from the Mixed Media Marks, Carved Collections and Pencil Marks. The focal images are leaves from the Sketchy Leaves stamps set.

Heute möchte ich euch einige gestempelte Mixed Media Tags zeigen. Verwendet habe ich dafür ein großes Blattpapier, welches ich mit Aquarellfarben und -stiften bemalt habe. Aus diesem wurden die Tags gestanzt. Diese habe ich dann ganz fleißig in mehreren Layern bestempelt. Als Hauptmotiv kamen die Blätter aus meinem Sketchy Leaves Stempelset zum Einsatz.

The main images are colored in with watercolors. I tried to stay with my palette and not add too many different colors. For final touches I added markmakings with a white posca pen and also white and black splatters with acrylic ink.

Die Hauptmotive wurden mit Aquarellfarben koloriert. Ich habe dabei versucht ähnliche Farben wie auf dem Hintergrund zu verwenden. Zum Abschluss kamen noch einige Markmakings mit einem weißen Posca Marker hinzu und einige Spritzer mit Acryltinte in schwarz und weiß.

I mainly used StazOn Inks for stamping, it’s my favourite ink, as it dries super quick when I use it over acrylics. I do not always ink up my stamp everytime I am stamping. Using the stamp two to three times with one layer of ink gives me different shades of the color and adds depth to the piece.

Zum Stempeln verwende ich meistens StazOn, das ist meine Lieblingstinte, da sie auch auf Acrylfarben super schnell trocknet. Die Stempel färbe ich nicht unbedingt für jeden Abdruck neu ein. Es sieht oft gut aus, wenn man ein Motiv mehrmals abdrückt. Dabei entstehen unterschiedliche Tonwerte und das verleiht dem Projekt Tiefe.
