Sketching a Bird with Oil Pastels – Lightwish Soft Oil Pastels Review

I have a little product review today and a process in my sketchbook. I got send some oil pastels from Lightwish to try them out. The oil pastels come in three different themed sets. I picked the Morandi one. As I already have a bunch of standard sets I wanted to have some more light and muted tones.

Heute habe ich mal wieder ein Produkt-Review für dich und eine Seite in meinem Skizzenbuch. Netterweise hat mir Paul Rubens eines der neuen Ölpastellkreidensets von Lightwish gesendet. Ich hab mich für die “Morandi” Palette entschieden. Da ich bereits einige Standart Sets habe fand ich die helleren leicht abgetönten Farben sehr spannend.

In my Video I will talk about the Oil-Pastels and do some swatches. I also make a little comparison of this set to some other Oil-Pastel sets I have: Paul Rubens, Eberhardt Faber, Jaxon, Arrtx and Neopastels. A comparison to the Neopastels is not really fair, as these are some of the super high grade pastels that are available and the prices is very high compared to all the other sets. I am also sharing a bird sketch in my Video in my black Sakura sketchbook.

In meinem Video zeige ich dir nicht nur alle Farben aus diesem Set, ich stelle auch einen kleinen Vergleich zu einigen anderen Marken her: Paul Rubens, Eberhardt Faber, Jaxon, Arrtx and Neopastels.
Der Vergleich mit den Neopastellen ist nicht wirklich fair, das diese die Oberliga sind und preislich wesentlich höher liegen als all die anderen Sets. Leider gibt es diesmal keine deutsche Version vom Video.
