Floral Focal Points with the Gel Plate and an Art Journal Page

Hi everybody! In today’s exclusive members video we are going to make some fun floral focal images with the gel plate,I am going to share ideas what to do with them and I’ll create an art journal spread with one of them.

I came up with this idea because I was sketching some simple flowers that I wanted to turn into masks to glaze some of my pottery. It brought me to the idea to paint these simple florale images on my gel plate…. it turned out, that these images make great focal points for art journal pages, but also can be used as art work standing alone, if you place them on a nice background.
That’s what I did first. I framed some of them mounted to some gelli printed background papers:
