Hi everybody. I haven’t been posting anything from my sketchbooks during the past months… but I promise to do better in the future. Today I’m sharing a process video, drawing a landscape with mixed media!
My reference is a drawing I did on location a few weeks ago. I used markers, colored pencils and Neocolors. The image underneath is my reference. I drew it in my Royal Talens sketchbook on location.

Drawing from sketches instead of photos helps me a lot to stay loose and free and not to hang myself up on to too much details. It’s not about to paint a realistic photo, it’s about to capture the mood and the feeling a landscape gives you.
