Collage Fodder from a failed Watercolor Painting

Hi everybody! It happens regularly, that I end up with a watercolor background/ painting, that I don’t like and no longer want to work on. Usually I keep them in the paper pad until I want to use it for a new painting and than it goes into a drawer for failed paintings…. until I either use it or throw it away.

Today I’d like to share a lovely and joyful way to use these unfinished watercolor backgrounds. We are making a set of whimsical collage fodder elements using the watercolor painting and acrylic markers.

Enjoy watching the process:

Many of the supplies I use, are available at Craftelier (de), Craftelier (uk), Craftelier (es). It’s one of my favourite shops for art materials as they have a big range, good prices and reasonable shipping costs (free on order over 60€).
I also have all my favourite Materials collected on my Amazon storefront. These are all affiliate links, you don’t pay more, but I get a small amount back. Thank you!

Here are some close-ups of the collage elements:

A collage of circular watercolor art pieces featuring abstract patterns and natural motifs on a vibrant pink background.
Colorful circular watercolor paintings with abstract patterns and floral designs on a textured background.
An assortment of circular watercolor art pieces featuring colorful abstract designs and floral line drawings arranged on a textured background.
