In today’s video I am creating a mixed media art journal page in my watercolor journal from Kunst & Papier. I’m making a collage background first and add color with the water-soluble Neocolor crayons. For my main images I am using my Textured Birds stamp set together with a gelli print. Sketchbook Spread & Domestika Review – What are my favourite courses on this learning platform?
In this post I have a video for you of the process of the sketchbook spread you see underneath. I will also give you more information on the class I recently took and also on my favourite ones.
Vintage Art Journal Page with Collage Background
I made a vintage art journal spread with a collage on the background. I worked in the Kunst & Papier watercolor journal. The papers are handmade and also from a design paper pad. The one with the flowers in an old book page I painted myself with watercolors. As a focal image I added one of the Grungy Butterflies stamps. Click on more to watch a quick video.

I am glueing the papers down intuitively and add different mark makings on top with stamps, crayons and posca markers. If you want to see how I make my collage papers I have the playlist with all the videos linked in the post

Altered Playing Cards with Tissue Collage

You will find a quick video on how I made this when you click more. The leaves are from my Sketchy Leaves stamp set, the mushrooms are from Textured Mushrooms.
Staming with Gesso + Grungy Mixed Media Tags – Video Tutorial

To create textured I stamped the background with gesso, that creates a nice effect when you go on top with watercolors. Click on more if you want to see the video and also close-up images of my finished tags.
Arrtx Oil Pastels – Video Review
In today’s video I have a closer look on the Paul Rubens Oil Pastels and the new Arrtx acrylic markers. I have you to tell in advance, that I am not an oil pastel artist! I love mixed media and I use oil pastels in my sketchbook to add some accents or for mark making in my art journal. For this purpose I am really happy with both sets. The pastels are super creamy and blend really nicely. The acrylic markers have a brush tip and are permanent once they are dry! This is awesome, as I’ve never seen something like that.
