Abstract Mixed Media Collages in my Art Journal – Video Tutorial

I’m creating two spreads today in my mini collage art journal. I often do this when I want to get rid of my left over collage scraps. I am glueing the papers down intuitively and add different mark makings on top with stamps, crayons and posca markers. Autumnal ATCs with stamped Collage Fodder (Process Video)

I’m sharing a new process video to inspire you over on my YouTube channel today. I am creating a pair of ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) using the embossing resist technique together with Distress Inks for the background. I am decorating the cards with some stamped collage fodder. I’m making some autumn leaves using our “I Love Leaves” and “Twiggy Leaves” stamp sets together with water-soluble pencils. This creates a super lovely watercolor effect.

In today’s video I am playing in my handmade junk art journal. I am using watercolors with a gesso resist technique to create some nice texture for the background. I also used some stamps from the Pencil Marks 2 set and from Mix It Up 1.
