For my spread I am using an embossing resist technique with white powder and watercolors. I am adding texture with watercolor pencils and of course some of my new mixed media stamps. My focal image is one of the cute birdies from my Textured Birds stamp set.

How to make a Grungy Art Journal Page with a colorful style
Today’s video is a playful process in my junky art journal. It’s handmade and I love to create grungy and colorful spreads in it. For the main images on the page I used some loose colored stamped images from my Sketchy Flowers #1 and the Sketchy Flowers #3 sets. On the background I worked with Liquitex Acrylic Gouache.
Messy Spread in my Junk Art Journal
I love playing with different materials in my handmade junk art journal. It’s bound from left over painted papers, old book pages and tea-dyed papers. I stitched signitures with around 4 papers (= 8 pages) and glued these together with a gummed paper tape. For this spread I played with the Rubber Dance Bold & Beautiful, Mixed Media Borders and Lace Borders stamp sets.

Abstract Watercolor Art Journaling
