Drawing on location – Pages from my Sketchbook

I love going out to draw and have a play in my sketchbook. It’s so much different compared to drawing from photos, but of course it takes a lot more effort. Today I’m sharing two spreads that I made recently during a walk not far from my home.

Ich gehe unheimlich gern raus zum Zeichnen im Skizzenbuch! Das ist ein enormer und positiver Unterschied zum Zeichnen von Fotoreferenzen, aber natürlich nicht unwesentlich aufwändiger. Heute zeige ich zwei Bilder, die ich kürzlich während einem Spaziergang nicht weit weg von zu Haus gemacht habe.

Abstract Art Journal Collage – Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! I’m sharing an abstract art journal collage in one of my cheap spiral bound sketchbooks today. I am using left over paint papers and stamped old book papers for collage. My focal images are the rainbow stamp from the Pencil Marks 3 stamp set and one or the Sketchy Leaves. I combined the collage with some white gesso, mark making and background stamping. The title are words from my Mix A Sentiment stamp set.

Halli hallo. Ich zeige heute eine abstrakte Collage in meinem Spiral-Journal. Das ist ein einfacher billiger Skizzenblock vom Action. Ich verwende handgemachte Collagepapiere und eine bestempelte alte Buchseite für den Hintergrund. Meine Hauptmotive sind der Regenbogen aus dem Pencil Marks 3 Stempelset und ein Blätterstempel aus dem Sketchy Leaves Set. Den Collage-Hintergrund habe ich mit Gesso, Markmakings und Hintergrundstempeln kombiniert. Den Titel habe ich mit Wörtern aus unserem Mix A Sentiment Stempelset zusammengesetzt.

It’s been a while that I shared pages from my Sketchbook

I’m sharing two of my latest sketchbook pages today. I am filling these Royal Talens books in such a rush that I often don’t find the time to take good photos, to share them on social media or even to write a blog post. I’m trying to get better at that and share my drawings more regularly.

Heute zeige ich endlich mal wieder zwei Seiten in meinem Skizzenbuch. Ich fülle diese Seiten so zügig, dass ich kaum Zeit finde gute Fotos zu machen und diese dann auf Social Media zu zeigen oder gar einen Blogbeitrag zu schreiben. Ich gelobe Besserung und versuche Seiten aus dem Skizzenbuch öfter zu teilen.

Abstract Art Journal Collage – Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! I’m sharing an abstract art journal collage in one of my cheap spiral bound sketchbooks today. I am using handmade collage papers. Some are prints I made with the gelli plate, some are stamped old book papers. I picked a colour combination that is going to match some focal images that I’ve made with our Collage Leaves stamp sets. I have stamped several images from the set onto an abstract watercolor background. The title are words from my Mix A Sentiment stamp set.

Halli hallo. Ich zeige heute eine abstrakte Collage in meinem Spiral-Journal. Das ist ein einfacher billiger Skizzenblock vom Action. Ich verwende handgemachte Collagepapiere, darunter eine bestempelte alte Buchseite und einige Gelli prints. Die Farben habe ich nach meinem bereits vorbereitetn Hauptmotiv, einem Blatt aus unserem Collage Leaves Stempelset, gewählt. Gestempelt habe ich das Motiv auf einen bunten Aquarellhintergrund. Den Titel habe ich mit Wörtern aus unserem Mix A Sentiment Stempelset zusammengesetzt.

Making Collage Fodder with Brushos & Art Journal Page – Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! I’m sharing a spread in my watercolor journal today, playing with collage, Brusho powders, stamps and some mark making. I am creating botanical collage elements with Brushos and my new Sketchy Leaves 4 Stencil Set. I also use the pigments powders to colour in my focal image, a little bird from my new Textured Birds 2 stamp set.

Halli hallo. Ich zeige heute eine Art Journal Seite mit Collage, Brusho Pigmenten, Stempeln und Markmakings. Mit Hilfe meiner neuen Sketchy Leaves 4 Schablone kreiere ich einige Collage Elemente zusammen mit den Brusho Pulvern. Ich verwende sie außerdem zum Koloieren meines Hauptmotivs aus dem Textured Birds 2 Stempelset und für den Hintergrund.

Mixed Media Tags with Acrylic Inks and Collage Fodder – Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a couple of mixed media tags with a stamped acrylic ink background and some gelli printed collage fodder. I am working with our new stamps and stencils which are available over in our shop already! They are 10% off until tomorrow Feb. 4th!
