Artist Trading Cards with a Watercolor Background – Video Tutorial

In today’s video I am creating three easy artist trading cards from a layered watercolor background and I’ll show you how you can use your stamps with watercolors instead of an ink pad. I am working with our Pencil Marks #3 and Inky Friends stamps sets.

Im heutigen Video schau ich mir die Ocean Paradise Aquarellfarben von Super Vision genauer an. Es handelt sich um Aquarellfarben mit einem besonderen metallic- und granulierenden Effekt. Ich finde sie sehr hübsch und gut geeignet für abstrakte Gemälde oder Landschaften.

Create Amazing Collage Fodder and Mixed Media Tags

We are going to create some amazing collage papers today using newsprint paper, watercolors and acrylic inks. For the collage fodder we are using dies from Tim Holtz and some of my stamps (available at rubberdance.com). In this free video tutorial you will learn how easy you can create wonderful mixed media tags. Of course you can use the same technique to make greeting cards, art journal pages or other mixed media projects.

Heute dreht sich alles um Collage und selbst bemalte Collagepapiere. Ich verwende Aquarellfarben und Acryltinten auf grundiertem Newsprint Papier. Dabei erhält man wunderschöne Hintergründe, die sich prima für allerlei Projekte eignen. Außerdem zeige ich im Video noch wie ich Collage-Elemente mit Hilfe von Stempeln und Stanzen mache und wie diese beiden Tags entstehen.

Review on the Paul Rubens Mei Liang Watercolors

In today’s video I have a closer look on the Paul Rubens MeiLiang Watercolors. I believe these are also known as Pretty Excellent Watercolor Palette. These are metallic watercolors. With the 48 Set you get 36 normal watercolor plus 12 metallic/pearlescent watercolors. I really like these paints! They are a great starter set or to take with you when travelling.

Im heutigen Video schau ich mir die Paul Rubens MeiLiang Aquarellfarben genauer an. Das Set kommt mit 48 Farben, davon sind 36 normale Aquarellfarben und 12 metallic/perlmut. Ich war von dem Set sehr positiv überrascht, da ich gewöhnlich kein Freund von “günstigen” Mega-Aquarellkästen von Amazon bin. Die Farben trocknen nicht milchig und sind transparent. Abstract Acrylic Background for Art Journaling

Today’s video is all about creating a beauiful abstract background with acrylic paints and some stamps. I am creating an easy spread in my handmade junk art journal. My main images are some flower and leaf stamps from my Loose Florals 2 stamp set.

Im heutigen Video geht es hauptsächlich darum, wie ich einen abstrakten Hintergrund im Art Journal mit Acrylfarben gestalte. Für etwas mehr Textur verwende ich außerdem einige Stempel. Die Seiten sind in meinem handgemachten Junk Art Journal. Als Hauptmotiv verwende ich Blumen und Blätter Stempel aus dem Loose Florals 2 Set.

How to use PanPastels on an Art Journal Page

Today’s video is all about creating a layered art journal background with PanPastels. I recently started using PanPastels again after they have been laying in the cupboard for months. Usually I use them in my sketchbook. In my art journal I wanted to try out some new ways of using them and I am going to make a textured background and a grungy spread in this video. I am using the Pastels not only dry, I will work with them wet, with Gesso and also Gel Medium.

Abstract Art Journaling with Watercolor and Mixed Media

Playing abstract with watercolors is one of my favourite habits to take some creative minutes off on a busy day. It’s an relaxing, joyful and intuitive process. Wenn ich an einem stressigen Tag wenig Zeit fürs Malen oder Zeichnen habe, entspanne ich gern für einige Minuten mit einer abstrakten Spielerei im Art Journal. Ich verwende dazu Aquarellfarben in Kombination mit Aquarellbuntstiften und -kreide. Selbstverständlich dürfen ein paar Stempel und Collage auch nicht fehlen.

Watercolor Art Journaling in an Old Book

I recently started a new course on Domestika with Diego Bianki and I was super inspired by his way to use and make old books into creative journals. For this art journal spread I worked in a “new” art journal which is made from an very old book I found on a flea marked some weeks ago.
For today’s page I used the Mixed Media Marks #1 stamp set, Supervision watercolors and Brushos.

Vor kurzem habe ich einen neuen Kurs auf Domestika von Diego Bianki begonnen. Das hat mich super inspiriert mal wieder ein altes Buch als kreatives Journal zu verwenden.
