INKTOBER – 10 to 15min Abstract Mixed Media Collage

Today’s video is my first Inktober project. I will make 31 abstract collages using at least one ink product on every spread. I will not upload a YouTube video every day, but I will try to post a daily video over on my Instagram page and I will also share here on my blog. Das heutige Video ist mein erstes Inktober Projekt. Ich werde 31 abstrakte mixed media Collagen machen wobei ich auf jedem Werk mindestens ein Tintenprodukt verwenden werde. Ich werde nicht jeden Tag ein Video auf YouTube hochladen, werde aber versuchen täglich ein Video auf Instagram zu posten, dass ich dann auch hier auf meinem Blog teile. Vielleicht hast du ja Lust mich bei der Challenge zu begleiten und auch täglich ein abstraktes Werk zu gestalten. Watercolor Art Journal Page Tutorial – Dina Wakley Journal

I am creating in my Dina Wakley Media Journal today. As it’s almost completely full I try to finish up the last pages. For my spread I am using an embossing resist technique with white powder and watercolors. I am adding texture with watercolor pencils and of course some of my new mixed media stamps. My focal image is one of the cute birdies from my Textured Birds stamp set.

Im heutingen Video spiele ich in meinem fast vollen Dina Wakley Media Journal. Ich möchte endlich mal die letzten Seiten dieses Skizzenbuches fertig stellen. Für den Hintergrund verwende ich eine Embossing-Resist- Technik mit weißem Embossingpulver und Aquarellfarben. Textur ergänze ich mit Aquarellbuntstiften und natürlich einigen Stempeln. Der süße Vogel ist aus meinem Textured Birds Stempelset.

This technique is perfect to use in your art journal, on scrapbooking layouts or handmade greeting cards. I am using my brand new stamps set, the Pencil Marks #6. They are available together with a bunch of other new clear sets over in our shop.

Quick abstract spread to get some creative time after a busy day. What’s your way to put art into just a few minutes? Playing quickliy without too much thinking helps me to loosen up and to get new ideas. On this spread I used a flower from my brand new Pencil Marks 6 stamp set. You will find it in the shop together with many other new clear sets.

Eine schnelle abstrakte Seite im Art Journal nach einem stressigen Tag. Wie schaffst du es ein bißchen Kreativität in wenige Minuten zu quetschen? Schnelles kreieren und wenig überlegen hilft mir lockerer zu werden und die Ergebnisse verhelfen mir oft zu neuen Ideen. Auf dieser Seite habe ich einen Blumenstempel aus meinem brand neuen Pencil Marks 6 Stempelset verwendet. Ihr findet es im Shop zusammen mit vielen anderen neuen Clearstamp-Sets.

ATCs with my new Stamps

ATCs with our new Pencil Marks 6 stamp set. It’s now available in the shop together with a lot of other new clear stamp sets. I used embossingpowder and acrylic ink as a resist together with watercolors for the background. The coneflowers are stamped with watercolors two times to create a layered effect.

ATCs mit unserem brand neuen Pencil Marks 6 Stempelset. Es ist, zusammen mit vielen anderen neuen Klarsichstempelsets seit heute im Shop verfügbar. Für den Hintergrund habe ich weißes Embossingpulver und Spritzer mit Acryltinte verwendet, auf diesen Bereichen haften die Aquarellfarben nicht und man bekommt sehr schöne Effekte. Die Blumen sind doppelt mit Aquarellfarbe gestempelt um eine Tiefenwirkung zu erzeugen.

How to make a Grungy Art Journal Page with a colorful style

Today’s video is a playful process in my junky art journal. It’s handmade and I love to create grungy and colorful spreads in it. For the main images on the page I used some loose colored stamped images from my Sketchy Flowers #1 and the Sketchy Flowers #3 sets. On the background I worked with Liquitex Acrylic Gouache.

Im heutigen Video gestalte ich eine Seite im handgemachten Junk Art Journal. Mir gefallen Seiten, die einerseits einen “grungy” Look haben, aber trotzdem schön bunt sind. Für das Hauptmotiv der Seite habe ich mich für eine locker colorierte Blume aus meinem Sketchy Flowers 1 und Sketchy Flowers 3 Stempelsets verwendet. Auf dem Hintergrund hab ich mit der Acryl-Gouache von Liquitex gearbeitet.

Messy Spread in my Junk Art Journal

I love playing with different materials in my handmade junk art journal. It’s bound from left over painted papers, old book pages and tea-dyed papers. I stitched signitures with around 4 papers (= 8 pages) and glued these together with a gummed paper tape. For this spread I played with the Rubber Dance Bold & Beautiful, Mixed Media Borders and Lace Borders stamp sets. I also used some of my collage papers which you can find here.

In meinem handgemachten Junk Art Journal werkel ich am liebsten. Einfach ganz intuitiv mit diversen Materialien. Das Journal besteht aus Restepapieren, Tee gefärbten Papieren und alten Buchseiten. Für diese Seite habe ich Stempel aus meinen Sets Bold & Beautiful, Mixed Media Borders und Lace Borders verwendet. Außerdem kamen noch Teile von Collagepapieren zum Einsatz. Under the Sea Art Journal Page in my Dina Wakley Media Journal

On this nautical art journal page I used gouache paints for the background together with my Textured Sea Creatures, Retro Beach and Mixed Media Borders stamp sets. I worked in the Dina Wakley Media Journal. I like this journal because of the different kinds of papers inside.
