Hi everybody! I’m sharing an abstract watercolor intuitive painting process today. I am working with a limited color palette, which I shared with you in a previous video already. I am going to link this up again at the end of this post!
When I started painting more with watercolors (many many years ago) I watched some of the, I’d call them “standard”, watercolor painting tutorials. I quickly learned, that I don’t enjoy this process and the amount of control you need with watercolors. So I decided to do it my own way and since then I a have been playing with watercolors and enjoyed their fluidity and the own voice the pigments have within this medium. Today I am sharing a free process video for an abstract and intuitive watercolor painting. Enjoy:

Here is the play video for the color palette:
Regarding the limited color palette I’ve used: I don’t know all the color names but this is what I’ve used: Rosa Gallery: Yellow Ochre & Cadmium Red Light, a Pink (maybe Opera Rose or Quinachridone Rose), a granulating violette-brown from Schmincke (either Vulkan Violett or Galaxy Pink), a granulating teal-blue and a Mahagoni Brown from Mijello. To add details I am using some Arrtx acrylic markers.
Many of the supplies I use, are available at Craftelier (de), Craftelier (uk), Craftelier (es). It’s one of my favourite shops for art materials as they have a big range, good prices and reasonable shipping costs (free on order over 60€).
I also have all my favourite Materials collected on my Amazon storefront. These are all affiliate links, you don’t pay more, but I get a small amount back. Thank you!
Thanks for stopping by today! xx Susanne
