From Play to Art Journal Page – Creative Process from my Studio

Hi everybody! I am sharing a new exclusive video today for my lovely Mixed Media Play members over on YouTube. It started as a playful session with just painting some super wonky and childish botanicals in watercolor….

The whole process then developed into an art journal page and also inspired my to join the INKtober challenge. After all I made a few flowers paintings, tested some sketchbooks and made an art journal page.

Enjoy joining me in my studio with some kind of unplanned stuff and I hope for loads of inspiration. If you are not already a Mixed Media Play tier member, you can join here.

Here are some photos of the paintings I did during this video:

A watercolor illustration of a green plant branch with various shades of green and turquoise leaves on a white background.
A watercolor illustration of a pink flower with green leaves on a white background.
A vibrant abstract watercolor painting featuring various plant shapes with soft pink, green, and earthy tones, along with circular patterns and splashes of color.

The paintings underneath are made in the Canson Graduate Sketchbooks. The left is the Drawing version, the right is the mixed media version! I definitely prefer the mixed media version for this kind of watercolor work.
