Collage Fodder – Stamped Mushrooms with Gelli Prints

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a collage fodder video with my Textured Mushrooms stamp set. It was a cold and gloomy sunday last weekend – that’s the best time to make some collage fodder for your mixed media projects, art journals or other papercrafting creations, like cards or scrapbook layouts. Instead of colouring in the stamped images I am using some of my gelli prints and paper piece the mushrooms.

Hallo ihr Lieben. Heute habe ich eine kleine Inspiration zum Thema Collage Fodder bzw. Stempel kolorieren mal anders. Dieses Projekt ist perfekt geeignet für einen kühlen und grauen Sonntag auf der Couch. Ich verwende mein Textured Mushrooms Stempelset und einige Gelliprints um viele süße Pilze für diverse Papierprojekte zu gestatlten. Sie eignen sich perfekt für Mixed Media Projekte, Art Journal Seiten, Grußkarten oder Scrapbook-Layouts.

Making grungy Gelli Prints directly in my Sketchbook

Recently I shared a video where I printed pages directly in some unused drawing sketchbooks. I had so much fun doing it that I ordered myself the same sketchbooks again in an A4 landscape format to make some bigger prints. I love how this keeps all the prints together. It is the perfect storage and the prints are presented in such a nice and inspiring way. Imagine flipping through a book filled with amazing papers. Today I’m sharing a full printing session where I make some kind of Autumn/ Halloween themed papers!

Kürzlich habe ich ein Video geteilt in dem ich die Seiten unbenutzte Skizzenbücher mit der Gelli Plate bedruckt habe. Ich fand das so toll und die Art und Weise diese Papiere aufzuheben einfach klasse, dass ich mir nochmal zwei dieser Skizzenbücher im Landschafts A4 Format geholt habe. Heute teile ich eine komplette Gelli-Printing-Session in der ich einige Herbst/ Halloween Drucke zeige.

Mixed Media & Collage in my Junk Art Journal – Process Video

Hi everyone! Recently I made a lot of pages in my handmade junk art journals using collage and mark making with stamps and stencils. Today I have a process video to share with you! I so enjoy creating in these journals in quite a small format. There is absolultely no pressure in making something beautiful, it’s just about letting go, being creative and enjoying the time for myself.

Es macht mir unheimlich viel Freude in diesen kleinen selbstgemachten Büchlein kreativ zu sein. Mir ist dabei überhaupt nicht wichtig, ob das Ergebnis schön wird. Es zählt einfach nur der Spaß daran und die Zeit die ich für mich selbst nehme.

Fill your Sketchbook with Gelli Prints!

I had two spiral bound sketchbooks laying around unused for more than a year… what to do with them? I have no idea how this came but one day I thought I would print those papers with my gel plate. As they are spiral bound it works perfectly! After I’d done the first prints I felt super excited, as it is amazing to flip though them! Today I’m sharing some of the prints I am doing in these books. I believe it’s the best way to have your gelli prints organized and presented!

Mehr als ein Jahr lagen nun zwei unbenutzte Skizzenbücher in meinem Studio, bis mir eines Tages einfiel ihre Seiten mit der Gelli Plate zu bedrucken! Da sie Spiralgebunden sind funktioniert das perfekt. Nachdem ich die ersten Drucke gemacht hatte war ich ganz begeistert von den kleinen Büchlein und wie es sich anfühlt durch die Seiten zu blättern! Jetzt denke ich es gibt keinen besseren weg die gedruckten Papiere zu präsentieren und auch zu lagern. Heute zeige ich dir einige Prints in den Büchlein.

I grabed my Gansai Tambi Watercolors this time, as I have them for years laying in my drawer and I rarely use them. I combined them with Collage, some stenciling, stamping and mark making.

Brand new way to use your Stencils for Gelli Printing!

This will change your way of working with the gelli plate using your stencils! All you need is a die-cutting machine! Instead of using your stencil directly on your gel plate you create an embossed piece of cardstock and use this to create texture on your plate. This means your stencil won’t get any paint on them and you don’t have to clean them afterwards.

Heute habe ich eine brand neue Idee, wie du Schablonen zusammen mit der Geldruckplatte verwenden kannst. Anstatt direkt mit den Schablonen auf der Gelli Plate zu arbeiten embossen wir Cardstock mit der Schablone und einer Stanzmaschine. Diesen verwendest du dann um Texturen und Muster auf die Gelplatte zu zaubern.

Halli hallo. Heute zeige ich eine Art Journal Seite mit so einigen Mixed Media Techniken. Ich verwende Collage, Strukturpaste und Brushos. Außerdem nehme ich einige unserer neuen Stempel um etwas mehr Textur im Hintergrund zu erzeugen und unsere neue Sketchy Leaves 3 Schablone um das Hauptmotiv zu kreieren. Unsere neuen Stempel und Schablonen sind übrigens noch bis nächsten Mittwoch, den 20.9. um 10% reduziert.

Let’s use up some collage paper scraps & create mixed media journaling cards

Hi everyone! In today’s video I am using up some of my collage scraps! I always try to get rid of the small bits an pieces. I am making two mixed media journal cards with some of my bird stamps today. You can use this technique for all kinds of projects, for ATCs or greeting cards and of course in your art journal, too. The cards I am creating are great to use in your handmade journals or scrapbook albums.

Halli hallo. Im heutigen Video mache ich ein Set mit mixed media Journal Karten und Papierresten. Ich starte mit einem Collage-Hintergrund, ergänze diesen dann mit einigen Stempelabdrücken und verziere die Kärtchen mit den Vogelstempeln aus unserem Sketchy Birds 2 Stempelset.

Distress Inks and Stencil Smooshing – Colorful Art Journal Page

Hi everyone! As I enjoyed this process so much, I am playing in my watercolor journal today again using Distress Inks with some of our stencils. This technique creates a lovely layered background that can be used not only for art journaling also for other mixed media projects like cards, atcs or tags.
I am inking up the stencils, spritz them with water and then use them like a stamp to get an impression on my pages. I am drying the layers in-between to avoid mud and to get a more dimensional look.

Halli hallo. Heute gestalte ich nochmal eine Art Journal Seite im Aquarellbuch von Kunst und Papier. Den Hintergrund mache ich mit einigen unserer Schablonen kombiniert mit Distress Ink Stempelkissen. Mit dieser Technik entsteht ein wunderschöner geschichteter Hintergrund mit viel Textur. Die einzelnen Schichten trockne ich zwischendurch, damit die Farben am Ende nicht matschig aussehen.
