Mixed Media Collage in my Art Journal – Video Tutorial

I’m creating a spread today in my watercolor sketchbook from Kunst & Papier. I had a bunch of papers that were already tared up and wanted to use them. I am glueing the papers down intuitively combine them with white gesso and add different mark makings on top with stamps, paint pens and crayons.

Im heutigen Video gestalte ich eine Seite im Aquarellbuch von Kunst & Papier. Ich hatte schon einige Collagepapiere die angerissen waren parat um aufgebraucht zu werden. Die Schnipsel klebe ich mit dem Tombow Klebestick ein. Ich verwende außerdem weißen Gesso, einige Stempel und mache Mark-Makings mit Neocolor Kreiden und Posca Pens.

I joined the Birbfest Challenge in January

Today I have a bunch of birds from my sketchbook to share. I played along in the #birbfest23 challenge where you draw or paint or craft a bird each day. I drew the birds in my sketchbook. If you go to instagram and search the hashtag #birbfest23 you will find tons of amazing ways to draw birds! I really enjoyed this challenge, so I decided to also play in Feathruary, which is a simila challenge just with different promts! You will also find everything about it over on instagram. Heute habe ich mal einige Seiten aus meinem Sketchbook zum Zeigen. Im Januar habe ich bei der Birbfest Challenge mit gemacht und jeden Tag einen Vogel kreiert. I’m creating a spread today in my sketchbook from Gerstaecker. I often do this when I want to get rid of my left over collage scraps or if I don’t have much time. I am glueing the papers down intuitively combine them with paints or inks and add different mark makings on top with stamps, paint pens and crayons.

Im heutigen Video gestalte ich eine Seite im Mini Art Journal. Ich verwende dafür das kleine 10 x 10cm Sprialskizzenbuch vom Gerstaecker. Dieses kleine Büchlein bietet Platz für viele Papierreste und Experimente mit Farbe und Tinten. Abschließend kreiere ich Mark Makings mit Stempeln, Paint Pens und Neocolor Kreiden.

Mixed Media Mini Collages with Fodder

I’m sharing two spreads today in my mini ring bound art journal from Gerstaecker using some gel prints and left over paint papers. I often do this when I want to get rid of my left over collage scraps or if I don’t have much time. I am glueing the papers down intuitively and add different mark makings on top with stamps and Neocolors. My main image is some collage fodder I made with my Sketchy Leaves stamp set. Heute zeige ich zwei kleine Collagen im Mini Art Journal vom Gerstaecker. Diese kleines Büchlein verwende ich gern für zwischendurch wenn nicht so viel Zeit ist oder wenn ich kleinere Papierreste verbrauchen möchte. Ich klebe hauptsächlich intuitiv und ergänze anschließend Markmakings mit Stempeln und Neocolor Kreiden. Lies weiter für ein kurzes How-To-Video und die zweite Seite.

I’m creating a spread today in my watercolor book from Kunst & Papier using handmade collage papers together with our brand new stamps. I start with some loose watercoloring and some background stamping. Next I am glueing some collage papers down intuitively and add different mark makings on top with stamps and ink. My focal image is also one of the new images stamped in black.

Im heutigen Video gestalte ich eine Art Journal Seite im Aquarellbuch von Kunst & Papier zusammen mit handgemalten Collagepapieren und unseren nagelneuen Stempeln. Ich starte mit Aquarellfarbe und einigen Stempelabdrücken im Hintergrund. Als nächstes klebe ich die Collagepapiere auf und mache einige Mark-Makings mit Stempeln und Tinte. Das Hauptmotiv ist eine Blume aus unserem neuen Mix It Up 3 Stempelset.

Gelli Printing Tutorial – How to make your own Design Papers in Spring Colors with a Shabby Chic Look

I’m printing some grungy background papers in Spring colours with my Gelli Plate today. I’m using some pastel and touches of Paynes Grey to create a shabby spring palette. For printing I am using acrylic paints, 200gsm printer paper and of course some stamps. You will find details about the products I’m using at the end of this post. My video is splittet into two parts today, as it was too long to render.

Im heutigen Video mache ich einige Hintergrund-Papiere mit der Geldruckplatte (Gelli Plate). Ich verwende heute Frühlingsfarben und Akzente von Paynes Grau um Papiere zu erhalten die einen “shabby” Frühlinglook haben. Zum Drucken verwende ich Acrylfarbe zusammen mit Stempeln und 200g/m² Druckerpapier. Details zu den Produkten findet ihr am Ende vom Post. Mein Video musste ich in zwei Parts aufteilen, da eines zu lang zum berechnen war.

Hier mag ich den von Tombow am liebsten, da er nicht so viel Kleber abgibt und sich das Papier dadurch nicht wellt. Lies weiter für ein kurzes How-To-Video.
