Mixed Media Collage in my Art Journal – Video Tutorial

I’m creating a spreads today in my cheap sketchpad from Action. I often do this when I want to get rid of my left over collage scraps. I am glueing the papers down intuitively and add different mark makings on top with stamps, crayons and posca markers. Im heutigen Video gestalte ich eine kleine Collagen im Skizzenblock vom Action. Diese kleines Büchlein verwende ich gern für zwischendurch oder wenn ich kleinere Papierreste verbrauchen möchte. Ich klebe hauptsächlich intuitive und ergänze anschließend Markmakings mit Neocolor Kreiden, Posca-Markern oder Stempeln. Zum kleben verwende ich einen Klebestift. Hier mag ich den von Tombow am liebsten, da er nicht so viel Kleber abgibt und sich das Papier dadurch nicht wellt.

Altered Playing Cards with Tissue Collage

I made some mixed media altered playing cards with a collage background. I inked some tissue with Brusho powders. After the tissue was dry I used it for this background. You will find a quick video on how I made this when you click more. The leaves are from my Sketchy Leaves stamp set, the mushrooms are from Textured Mushrooms.

Für diese gepimpten Spielkarten habe ich ein Papiertaschentuch mit Brushos und Wasser eingefärbt und dann mit Gelmedium aufgeklebt. Die Aufleger sind aus meinem Sketchy Leaves Stempelset, die Pilze aus Textured Mushrooms. Ein Video findest du wenn du auf mehr klickst.

Staming with Gesso + Grungy Mixed Media Tags – Video Tutorial

I’m sharing the making some grungy mixed media tags today over on my YouTube channel. I had so much fun to create them. To create textured I stamped the background with gesso, that creates a nice effect when you go on top with watercolors. Im heutigen Video gestalte ich einige “grungy” mixed media Tags. Dazu bestempel ich mein Papier mit Gesso um später eine interessante Textur zu bekommen. Arrtx Oil Pastels – Video Review

In today’s video I have a closer look on the Arrtx Oil Pastels. They were so kind and sent me the 72 set. I have you to tell in advance, that I am not an oil pastel artist! I love mixed media and I use oil pastels in my sketchbook to add some accents or for mark making in my art journal. The selection of colors in this set is amazing, the pastels are super creamy and blend really nicely. Also layering works surprisingly good. Click on more for the video!

Autumnal ATCs with stamped Collage Fodder (Process Video)

I’m sharing a new process video to inspire you over on my YouTube channel today. I am creating a pair of ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) using the embossing resist technique together with Distress Inks for the background. I am decorating the cards with some stamped collage fodder. I’m making some autumn leaves using our “I Love Leaves” and “Twiggy Leaves” stamp sets together with water-soluble pencils. This creates a super lovely watercolor effect.

Im heutigen Mittwochsvideo auf meinem YouTube Kanal zeige ich euch ein paar herbstliche Artist Trading Kärtchen (ATCs). Für den Hintergrund verwende ich die Embossing-Resist-Technik zusammen mit Distress Inks. Die Kärtchen dekoriere ich mit gestempeltem Herbstlaub im Watercolor-Look. Dazu verwende ich unsere “I Love Leaves” und “Twiggy Leaves” Stempelsets. Diesen bekommt man indem man anstatt Stempelfarbe Aquarellbuntstifte zum einfärben verwendet. Wie das genau funktioniert seht ihr im Video.
