Abstract Mixed Media Painting – Video Tutorial

In today’s video I am creating an abstract mixed media spread in my art journal. I so enjoy playing with different materials, I feel like a happy child when I do this. For me it’s absolutely the best thing about art! The process is the most important part. Why make art when you don’t enjoy the process. If I am not happy with the outcome of my work I still can say “But I’ve enjoyed the process!” So no time is wasted and with every mistake you learn something new. Well, I am happy with this spread! I hope you like it, too and enjoy the video.

Im heutigen Video gestalte ich eine abstrake mixedmedia Seite im Art Journal. I liebe es mit unterschiedlichsten Materialien zu experimentieren und zu spielen. Da fühle ich mich wie ein glückliches Kind! Für mich ist genau das der wichtigste Part vom Kreativsein – die Freude daran. Da macht es auch überhaupt nichts, wenn das Ergebnis mal nicht so gefällt! Ich kann immer sagen “Beim kreieren hatte ich viel Freude!” Dadurch habe ich auch nie das Gefühl Zeit verschwendet zu haben und außerdem lernt man aus jedem Fehler wieder etwas Neues, nur so kann man wachsen und seinen Stil weiterentwickeln. Das heutige Werk gefällt mir, ich hoffe dir auch und ich hoffe du hast Freude beim zuschauen!

Abstract Watercolor Art Journaling (Process Video) – Inktober Day 26

Today’s video is Day 26 of #inktober. I am making 31 abstract mixed media art journal pages using at least one ink product on every spread. I posted my first, the 8th and the 15th spread over the months on YouTube and all the others are available here on my blog or over on my Instagram reels. Last week I started to upload a second video per week to YouTube, but without any voice over! Important information will be put in the desciption of the video and also here in the blog post. My Saturday videos will stay the same, full art tutorials with voice over.

Das heutige Video ist mein 26. Inktober Projekt. Ich mache 31 abstrakte Mixed Media Seiten im Artjournal, wobei ich auf jedem Werk mindestens ein Tintenprodukt verwende. An den ersten beiden Oktober Samstagen habe ich ein Video in voller Länge auf YouTube gezeigt. Den Rest der Wochen habe ich die Seiten als Instgram Reel und hier im Blog veröffentlicht. Letzten Mittwoch habe ich zum ersten Mal seit langem wieder ein 2. Video pro Woche hochgeladen. Meine Mittwochsvideos werden allerding ohne Vertonung sein! Das heißt du findest sie nur auf meinem englischen Kanal. Die Samstagsvideos bleiben wie immer und werden auch auf dem deutschen Kanal zu finden sein!

Page in my Junk Art Journal using Watercolors – Video Tutorial

In today’s video I am playing in my handmade junk art journal. I am using watercolors with a gesso resist technique to create some nice texture for the background. I also used some stamps from the Pencil Marks 2 set and from Mix It Up 1.

Im heutige Video gestalte ich eine grungy Seite in meinem handgemachten Junk Art Journal. Ich verwende Aquarellfarben und Gesso zum Stempeln, dadurch entsteht eine schöne Textur im Hintergrund. Außerdem verwende ich einige Stempel aus dem Pencil Marks 2 und Mix It Up 1 set.

Easy Artist Trading Cards with Collage Background

I’m sharing some quick collage ATCs with a background made from left over paper scraps. I added some stamping with the Pencil Marks 5 stamp set to the background. For the main image I colored in images from the Inky Flowers stamp set. I used alcohol markers on Perfect Coloring Paper. Click on more for a quick process video.

Hier habe ich ganz einfache ATCs mit einem Hintergrund aus Papierresten. Auf dem Hintergrund habe ich noch ein bisschen mit dem Pencil Marks 5 Set gestempelt. Das Hauptmotiv ist aus dem Inky Flowers Stempelset und wurde mit Alkoholmarkern koloriert. Gestempelt habe ich auf Perfect Coloring Paper.
