I everybody! I plan to start blogging again more regularly, not only the art journaling videos I post over on YouTube. I also want to catch up and keep up with the creations I make for the Rubber Dance Shop blog and with my sketchbook pages. I am posting regularly over on my two Instagram pages – but not on my blog! That’s a shame! And I think it has to change. So today I’d like to show you some of the mixed media sketchbook pages I made whilst we were on holidays last year in August in Croatia!
For the future I plan to just post my sketchbook pages alongside my Instagram postings. So there will be not so many images at once, but more regularly of course!

Art Journal Collage with Tissue Paper & Watercolors – a Vintage Spring Spread
Hi there, Susanne here with a new mixed media art journal page tutorial working over a collage background with granulating watercolors. This time I am using stamped tissue paper (using Inky Flowers) for the background and I adhere it with clear gesso. Of course a good alternative would be to use a printed tissue instead of a stamped one. I am working in my smaller watercolor journal from Kunst und Papier. I combine the collage background with a bird from our Textured Birds stamp set. Scroll down for a video tutorial.

Hi there, Susanne here with a new YouTube video. Today I am sharing my second item for the #100dayproject2025. Officially it starts tomorrow Feb. 23rd 2025. I combine some positive thoughts and gratitude with collage fodder. I already prepared 100 tiny envelopes (die from Waffle Flower – very old), which I’ve cut from gelli prints and old book papers and I am going to write something positive or something that I am grateful for or happy about into each of these envelopes. I am doing that everyday for 100 days and then I am going to create a collage ephemera piece with that envelope and scrap pieces from my stash. Only paper scraps and “ready-to-go” stamped images are allowed!
