Printing Collage Papers with the Gelli Plate

I’m printing some collage papers with my Gelli Plate today. I’m using more neutral colors than usual, because I needed something to balance out all these colorful papers I already have. For printing I am using acrylic paints, rice paper and of course some stamps. You will find details about the products I’m using at the end of this post.

Im heutigen Video mache ich einige Collage Papiere mit der Geldruckplatte (Gelli Plate). Ich verwende diesmal eher neutralere Farbmischungen und ein paar Gegenspieler für meine vielen bunten Papiere zur Verfügung zu haben. Mixed Media Mini Collages from Paper Scraps – Video Tutorial

In today’s video I am creating three spreads in my mini art journals from left over papers. Last weekend I took a class from Laura Horn and made a bunch of collages and now I wanted to get rid of all these paper scraps. The journals I am working in are super cheap sketchbooks. The bigger one is from the Action store, the smaller one is from Gerstaecker. As main images I am using stamps from Sketchy Leaves and Inks Friends.

Im heutigen Video gestalte ich drei kleine Collagen im Skizzenblock vom Action und in den 10cm x 10cm Skizzenbüchern von Action. Diese kleinen Büchlein verwende ich gern für zwischendurch oder wenn ich kleinere Papierreste verbrauchen möchte. Ich klebe hauptsächlich intuitive und ergänze anschließend Markmakings mit Neocolor Kreiden, Posca-Markern oder Stempeln. Zum kleben verwende ich einen Klebestift. Hier mag ich den von Tombow am liebsten, da er nicht so viel Kleber abgibt und sich das Papier dadurch nicht wellt. Die Hauptmotive sind aus unseren Sketchy Leaves und Inky Friends Stempelsets.

Abstract Watercolor Art Journaling – Process Video

In today’s process video I am creating an intuitive and relaxing spread in my Moleskin watercolor art journal. I really love these kind of making art to calm down, relax and get my creative juices flowing. The process is purely intuitive and without any pressure. I explore markmaking, mixed media techniques and color palettes while creating the page. I also used a few stamps to add more interest. Click on more to watch the process video.

Das heutige Video ist eine entspannende Seite in meinem Art Journal. Ich verwende hauptsächlich Aquarellfarben aber auch Inktense Buntstifte, Neocolor Kreiden und ein paar wenige Stempel. Diese Art zu Malen finde ich unheimlich heilsam, nach einem anstrengenden Tag. Es regt die Kreativität an und man bekommt neue Ideen und Lust auf mehr.

In today’s video I am creating a mixed media art journal page in my watercolor journal from Kunst & Papier. I’m making a collage background first and add color with the water-soluble Neocolor crayons. For my main images I am using my Textured Birds stamp set together with a gelli print. Vintage Art Journal Page with Collage Background

I made a vintage art journal spread with a collage on the background. I worked in the Kunst & Papier watercolor journal. The papers are handmade and also from a design paper pad. The one with the flowers in an old book page I painted myself with watercolors. As a focal image I added one of the Grungy Butterflies stamps. Click on more to watch a quick video.

Für diese Seite im Art Journal habe ich einen Hintergrund im Vintage Stil mit unterschiedlichen Collagepapieren gestaltet. Das Journal ist ein Aquarellbuch von Kunst & Papier. Das Collagepapier mit der Blume habe ich selbst gestatltet. Dazu habe ich eine alte Buchseite mit Aquarellfarben bemalt. Als Hauptmotiv habe ich einen Schmetterlingstempel aus dem Grungy Butterflies Stempelset verwendet. Click auf mehr für ein kurzes Video zur Seite.

I’m creating a spreads today in my cheap sketchpad from Action. I often do this when I want to get rid of my left over collage scraps. I am glueing the papers down intuitively and add different mark makings on top with stamps, crayons and posca markers. Altered Playing Cards with Tissue Collage

I made some mixed media altered playing cards with a collage background. I inked some tissue with Brusho powders. After the tissue was dry I used it for this background. You will find a quick video on how I made this when you click more. The leaves are from my Sketchy Leaves stamp set, the mushrooms are from Textured Mushrooms.
